The summer is coming to an end, but your new patient starts don’t have to. If you are like most orthodontic practice owners, you’ve turned up the heat on your marketing for the summer. But why not keep the momentum going? Consistent behavior is key to getting results. Consistency gets results in exercise, child rearing, and other aspects of our lives, but when it comes to marketing, many practice owners don’t implement the same discipline. One of the most common reasons we see practices struggle with marketing is because they fail to be consistent. When you only dabble in marketing, it’s not effective.
Keep in mind, new leads drive a practice and marketing is what drives leads. If you reduce your promotional efforts what will keep your practice growing?
As the summer comes to an end, take a moment to assess what’s working and what isn’t. Don’t assume that a prospective patient who didn’t immediately convert is a lost cause. Consider following up with consults by offering a back-to-school special. For some parents, the summer is equally as hectic as the school year, so an added incentive might be enough motivation to get them back in the office. End of summer is also a good time to take stock on where you are in meeting your 2017 goals. Finish the year strong by evaluating where you are and what initiatives you need to take in order to meet your goals.
